Claudia’s career began as an account executive for PRC Realty Systems. In 1976, Claudia arrived in Las Vegas to implement the first on-line computer system for the Las Vegas Board of Realtors. During her tenure, she achieved 100% subscription from all member offices of the Board of Realtors. Additionally, she negotiated a contract to provide additional services including a membership accounting package and the hard copy, weekly MLS book.
In 1980, Unisys (formerly Burroughs Corporation) recruited Claudia to become an account executive for large systems. In her role, she was responsible for sales, marketing, and implementation of banking teller workstations, document handling systems, automated teller machines, and printers in Southern Nevada.
Following her marriage in 1982, she moved to Northern Nevada and became the regional sales manager for Computer Mail Order. Computer Mail Order was one of the first large volume resellers of personal computer products and peripherals. From 1985-1988, Claudia provided consulting services to several Northern Nevada businesses that were establishing in-bound and out-bound call centers in both a B2C and B2B environment.
Claudia joined Harrah’s Entertainment in 1988 as the Marketing Services Manager for Harrah’s Lake Tahoe. Her responsibilities grew and she soon moved into the role of Regional Database Marketing Manager for Northern Nevada. During her career with Harrah’s Entertainment, she served as the marketing brand product manager for the corporate patron database project – the original Harrah’s Gold Card. This project formed the foundation for what is known today as the Harrah’s Total Rewards loyalty program.
In late 1992, Claudia expanded her expertise as a marketing and sales professional and held the position of Director of Marketing and Sales for the Comstock Casino Hotel in Reno (1993-1994), Lady Luck Casinos in Mississippi (1994-1996), and Station Casinos in Missouri (1996-1997). In mid-1997, Boyd Gaming Corporation (1997-2001) called upon Claudia to become the Director of Marketing for the Central Region. Shortly after joining the company, she was asked to relocate back to Las Vegas as the project leader for the corporate customer information team. As the project leader, she was responsible for the development of selection criteria, final selection process, and systems implementation for corporate-wide source systems. She also served as an advisor to the data warehousing and customer relationship management project team.
As a technology professional, Claudia possess extensive experience in gaming and hospitality system requirements, database design, system selection, and project management. She is a recognized expert in customer relationship management system design and implementation. As a subject matter expert across multiple technology areas and business functions, she makes recommendations regarding technology, architectural, and application development issues. She has been responsible for developing the selection criteria for major system decisions as well as identifying competent vendors. Claudia has directed the development and deployment of custom and packaged software and business intelligence solutions on a variety of platforms, including Microsoft Windows and iSeries / AS 400 environments. In her consulting practice, G.H.I. Solutions, Inc., Claudia focuses on providing customized solutions to meet the critical business needs of her clients.
Claudia serves as a judge for the Global Gaming Business Annual Gaming and Technology Awards (2003-2021) which are presented at G2E. In announcing her selection as a judge, Roger Gros, editor of Global Gaming Business Magazine, said: “Awards are meaningful when the the judges are knowledgeable and take their task seriously. These judges are considered the best in their respective fields, and these awards will reflect their standards of excellence.” In 2013 and 2014, Claudia directed the programming for the annual Gaming & Technology Conference, and she served as a judge for Casino Journal’s Annual Top 20 Most Innovative Gaming Technology Product Awards.
Claudia has served as a Games and Technology track leader for the Global Gaming Expo (G2E) (2006-2008). She has written numerous technology columns for Gaming & Leisure, Global Gaming Business, and Casino Enterprise Management, all leading industry publications. She is an instructor at the University of Nevada, Reno College for the Gaming Management Series. Claudia is a frequent speaker at major industry conferences including G2E and NIGA. She was honored as one of the Great Women in Gaming by Casino Enterprise Magazine in the inaugural class of 2005.
In 2017, G.H.I. Solutions, Inc. was named Partner of the Year by the Gaming and Leisure CIO Roundtable. And in July 2018, Claudia joined the prestigious group of individuals that have been awarded the Casino Marketing and Technology Lifetime Achievement Award. Claudia graduated with honors from Penn State University and serves on the Advisory Boards for Context Networks, Inc. and Zillions AI.
